Korede Bello opens up, shares powerful message on inner peace

Nigerian singer Korede Bello has opened up on his relative absence from the public eye while sharing a reflective message on his Instagram page.

Korede Bello, who has been away from the public space for a while now, has finally addressed fans’ concerns over his absence.

While responding to frequent questions about his whereabouts, Bello stated he is usually surprised when such questions pop up as he has been here all along.

“Whenever I hear or see comments like ‘Where have you been?’ I’m always usually kind of surprised. Why? Because I’ve been here all along, with me, myself and I.”

The singer stressed the need for self worth and resilience. Stating that to find oneself is to find peace.

Although some things are lost temporarily, the most important thing is to not lose oneself as you are worth more than the things that come and go.

“When you truly find yourself, you find peace. And even though you may lose some things temporarily, what matters most is that you don’t lose yourself, you’re worth more than things that come and go. You ARE and will always BE.”

Bello emphasized the importance of self-connection and validation over external validation.

He stated that it is preferable for the world to seek him out rather than for him to search for himself.

“I’m grateful that I don’t have to ask myself ‘Korede, where are you?’ For it is better for the world to ask ‘Where have you been’ than for you to ask yourself ‘Who am I…. where am I?’”

Bello elaborated on the disconnection between fame and inner -peace.

According to him, he only just realised that the more he connects with himself, the less the world feels connected to him.

“Don’t you know that you can be extremely rich and famous but lost inside your mind? I have come to realize that the more you connect with yourself the less the world connects with you.”

He further spoke on the true power self-discovery holds, stressing that the transformation that comes with it.

According to him, self-discovery can lead to external changes.

“You think different, you act different because you are different. They might even say ‘Who do you think you are?…’ But this hero’s journey is so necessary because you cannot truly stand out until you stand out and become outstanding.”

Bello, linking himself to ‘light’ assured his fans of his continued presence.

“So my people, just because you don’t experience the sunlight at night time doesn’t mean it’s not shining where it is. Surely you will experience the light again when gravity spins you in my direction. I am Light. I am Akorede,” he finally said.
