Immigration hands over native doctor to Police for investigation

The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), has handed over crime suspect, Levi Obieze to the Lagos State Police Command for further investigation.
Confirming this development, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, in a statement released on Friday via X (formerly Twitter), stated that, “ONGOING: @nigimmigration, Lagos State Command hands over wanted suspect, Obi Levi Obieze, to @LagosPoliceNG at the Police Command Headquarters, Ikeja.”
Recall, Teastrend reported that, Obieze was arrested on May 29, 2025, by operatives of the Nigeria Immigration Service at the Gbaji checkpoint along Badagry-Seme Road, while attempting to flee the country on a motorcycle.
Obieze was arrested after credible intelligence linked him to the abduction, kidnapping of a 13-year-old girl, and alleged ritual killing of two pregnant women in Isiagu Community, Enugu State.
His arrest was confirmed by the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Kemi Namdap, in a statement issued by the Service Public Relations Officer, Akinsola Akinlabi on Thursday.
The statement reads, “The suspect is a male individual wanted by the Nigeria Police, Enugu State Command for alleged involvement in abduction, kidnapping, and ritual killing.”
