Falz reveals why his kids might grow up abroad

Popular Nigerian rapper and activist Folarin Falana, known as Falz de bad guy, has disclosed that he will likely not raise his kids in Nigeria.

Falz made this known while appearing as a guest in a recent episode of the ‘Dear Ife series’ Podcast hosted by Ifedayo Agoro.

According to him, the decision results from threats due to his activism, insecurity in the country, and economic challenges.

“Would you like to raise your children in Nigeria if you were going to have any?” the host asked.

Replying to the question, Falz said, “Ah! That’s a deep question. I didn’t expect to hear this question. I haven’t really thought that far, let me not lie.”

“But it’s something that I can’t actually say ‘yes’ to because of what we are talking about (the insecurity in the country, threats due to my activism, and Nigeria’s docility,)” he said.

Falz, however, said that he feels sad as it is a question he cannot outrightly say yes or no to because he is a pro-Nigerian.

“It’s something I cannot outrightly say ‘yes’ to. And it’s so sad. But I can’t also outrightly say ‘no’ because I’m pro-Nigerian and I believe that we can actually get it right. But I don’t know, I don’t know. Let’s see,” he said.

The rapper is, however, currently single and has no kids.
