Popular TikTok content creator Peller, whose real name is Habib Hamzat, has opened up about his decision to leave Islam for Christianity, citing a traumatic childhood experience as the turning point.
During a recent TikTok live session, Peller clarified his religious stance after a viewer referred to him as a Muslim.
“I am not a Muslim. I go to church very well,” he said.
Peller explained that his spiritual transformation stemmed from a painful experience in a Quranic school during his early years.
He recounted facing severe physical punishment, an ordeal that left deep emotional scars.
“I was beaten severely when I was young at the Quranic school. That’s why I stopped going,” he said.
The incident, he said, not only ended his Islamic education but also marked the beginning of his journey toward Christianity.
