BBNaija’s Tacha eyes political future

Reality TV star, Natasha Akide
Former Big Brother Naija housemate and reality TV star, Anita Natasha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has revealed her intention to pursue a career in politics.
In a recent interview with media personality Ebuka, the Port Harcourt-born star expressed deep concern over the state of governance in Rivers State, highlighting the state’s untapped potential.
Tacha shared her views on the importance of youth involvement in governance, stating opportunities and talents that are not fully harnessed particularly in comparison with cities like Lagos and Abuja.
“When I look at other states like Abuja and Lagos, and I see how far they’ve come, and with the potential Rivers State has, they’re not trying to exploit it. It’s just very disappointing because there are so many youths, so many talents there, so many things that if the government can see light into, a lot can happen,” she said.
Tacha emphasized the importance of youth participation in governance and said it’s no longer enough to criticize from the sidelines. According to her, real change can only happen through active involvement.
“It’s something I’m working on,” she said when asked about her political ambitions.
“I need to be at least 70% ready before I fully speak on it. It doesn’t make sense to keep granting interviews and talking about the government without being involved,” she added.
Beyond politics, Tacha also shared her plans to attempt a Guinness World Record by completing the most makeup applications in 24 hours, aiming to glam up 150 people in a single day.
