Zinoleesky: ‘I ran away from home for music’

Nigerian Afrobeats star, Oniyide Azeez, known by his stage name as Zinoleesky has disclosed how he left home early to do music, stating that he did a lot of “crazy” things for the art.
Zinoleesky, in an interview with SB live, disclosed how he absconded from home at an early age to pursue a career in music.
According to him, Nigerian parents are often in denial when their children choose a career in the entertainment industry as opposed to the professional career, and he wasn’t any different.
“Nigerian parents are always in denial whenever you want to do stuffs like music. They want you to do a professional course or learn a trade. So, you just have to find a way. Me, I did some crazy stuffs. I ran away from home to do music,” he stated.
Zinoleesky further revealed that he started out his career as a rapper before he switched to singing.
The ‘Kilofeshe’ singer was brought to limelight after a freestyle video gained viral traction online in 2017.
He however, rose to prominence after the release of his debut album, ‘Chrome Eccentric’ featuring hit song, “Kilofeshe.”
